Men's Cross Country - Sat, Nov. 7, 2015

Nearly every Bee improved their time on the same course they ran two months ago as SAU finished fifth out of 13 teams in their first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships.

For the second meet in a row, Grant Colborn paced the Bees, finishing 28th in 27:18. The rest of the team was quick to finish behind Colborn as Anthony Peters raced to the line in 27:30 and Jonah Niedermeier crossed in 27:44. Skylar Mitchell finished in 28:04 and Ty Balduf rounded out at Bees top 5 in 28:10.

Ben Coyer and AJ Engelsen were the pushers on the day for the Bees as Coyer finished in 28:44 and Engelsen ran 28:49.

Coyer and Balduf were two of the three seniors finishing their XC careers sa Bees along with Lucas Rusk who ran 34:43 for more than a 3 minute improvement on the same course two months ago.

"These guys worked their tails off all season and we finished right were we were ranked," SAU head coach Dan Zeimet said. "We were hoping to pull off one or two upsets but it wasn't meant to be. It's been a great season and we made some big strides with a lof of our men."

The Bees had two seniors, two juniors, two sophomores and a freshmen in their top 7, showing off their versatility and strength in the upcoming seasons.
