2016 all-CCAC Women's Volleyball Team

Senior outside hitter Emily Hermiston was named to the all-CCAC Women's Volleyball Second Team as the conference announced its postseason awards today.

Hermiston, from Eldridge, Iowa, led the Bees with 334 kills this season, an average of 3.09 per set, and finished with a .237 hitting percentage. She upped those numbers to 3.28 kills per set and a .258 attack percentage in conference play.

She closed the year by collecting double-digit kills in each of the team's final eight matches. Over that stretch, she hit at a .316 clip (139 kills, 38 errors, 320 chances). She had 18 matches overall with at least 10 kills, including a season-best 22 in a five-set loss to Judson on Oct. 18. Hermiston had 21 kills against Cardinal Stritch in the Bees' season finale.

In her three years at St. Ambrose, Hermiston totaled 1,004 career kills

During her senior season, Hermiston also added 28 total blocks and 19 service aces.

Hermiston was also one of seven Bees named to the CCAC all-academic team, along with Marissa Boyer, Allie Brent, Sydney Lebahn, Jennifer Marten, Baylee Panfil and Adrienne Winkel were recognized for their work in the classroom.

St. Ambrose finished the year 10-20 overall and 7-12 in the CCAC.
