St. Ambrose saw its season come to a close with a 2-0 CCAC Tournament semifinal loss at No. 20 Olivet Nazarene Tuesday night.

The Bees end the year 9-10-1 overall after reaching the conference semifinals for the second year in a row.

After taking out defending tournament champion Roosevelt on the road in double overtime in the quarterfinals, the Bees couldn't find the answer against the 2016 regular-season champion Tigers Tuesday.

Olivet Nazarene (15-3-2) took the lead in the 26th minute and added an insurance goal eight minutes into the second half to advance to Friday's championship match where the Tigers will face Cardinal Stritch, who defeated Purdue Northwest 3-0 in Tuesday's other semifinal.

ONU finished with a 21-11 edge in shots over SAU.

Ryan Drechsler and Joao Victor Cordeiro led the Bees with three shots apiece. Drechsler and Nico Boehling had the team's two shots on goal.

Tom Greensall made five saves in the loss.
