2016 NAIA Women's Soccer All-America Teams

Kayla Anderson received All-America honorable mention as the NAIA announced its Women's Soccer All-America teams today. The reward comes after an outstanding season for the recent first team all-conference selection.

Anderson did it all for the Bees.

The senior defender from Naperville, Ill., was the team's leader on a defense that posted nine shutouts and allowed just 0.90 goals per match.

She was also the team's leading scorer, finishing with 11 goals. Three of her goals were game winners. She added two assists.

Anderson came up big down the stretch by scoring six goals over SAU's final five matches, helping the Bees close the regular season with six straight wins, four of those shutouts, to finish 14-4-2 overall and 10-2 in the CCAC, good for third place in the conference.

Off the field, Anderson was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division Women's Soccer Second Team and the CCAC all-academic team, and was honored as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Anderson is the 23rd Bee to earn NAIA All-America recognition.
