Kain Arthofer and Eric Dust each had a double-double and Lee Hardrick and Dedric Byrd each scored in double figures as St. Ambrose wrapped up the 2016-17 season with an 82-69 win at Judson Saturday afternoon.

The Bees finish 9-20 overall and 6-14 in the CCAC.

Two runs during a big second half propelled SAU to victory Saturday.

With the game tied at the break, the Bees led just 51-50 three minutes into the second half. But a 3-pointer from Dust was followed by two jumpers from Arthofer and another from Byrd to increase the lead to 60-50.

Judson (9-21, 4-16 CCAC) clawed back to within a point at 66-65 with 5:24 left before the St. Ambrose defense clamped down.

The Eagles were held without a point for nearly five minutes to allow the Bees to take control. Arthofer hit a three and Byrd completed a three-point play during a 12-0 run that built a 78-65 advantage with less than a minute to go.

SAU was able to win despite shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor. After watching Judson shoot 63 percent in the first half, SAU limited the Eagles to 33.3 percent in the second. And although the Bees had some free throw struggles in the second half, they outscored the Eagles 22-7 from the line. St. Ambrose also committed just eight turnovers, three of those coming in the second half.

Arthofer finished with 22 points and 10 boards to lead the Bees. Dust had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Hardrick scored 13 points and Byrd netted 12.
