CHICAGO --- Following up their performances at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend, St. Ambrose University's Cole Connell (Delmar, Iowa) and Olivet Nazarene University's Jeremy Brassard (Strafford, N.H.) came away with the final weekly conference awards for the 2017 season, which were announced by the league office late Wednesday afternoon.

Connell, the CCAC Field Athlete of the Week, won the heptathlon and high jump competitions at the league's indoor championships, while placing third in both the 60-meter hurdles and pole vault competition and fourth in the long jump. Those performances earned him CCAC Field Athlete of the Meet honors on Saturday.

Connell totaled 4,482 points in the heptathlon aided by four first-place finishes among the competition's seven events, while his high jump title came on a leap of 1.91 meters.
