2016-17 all-CCAC Men's Basketball Team

Averaging nearly 18 points and eight rebounds per game helped Eric Dust earn all-conference honorable mention as the CCAC announced its postseason men's basketball awards today.

Dust led St. Ambrose in both scoring (17.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.9 rpg) and upped his numbers to 18.2 points and 8.2 rebounds in conference play.

The sophomore center from Taylorville, Ill., scored in double figures in 26 of the 28 games he played, and topped 20 points 11 times. He scored a career-high 31 points, thanks to 13-of-18 shooting, in a win at Olivet Nazarene on Dec. 3. Dust recorded five double-doubles and pulled down a career-best 17 boards in a win over Trinity Christian on Jan. 21.

He led the Bees in both free throws made and attempted, and knocked down 30 3-pointers this season.

In his two years at St. Ambrose, Dust has scored 705 career points and grabbed 327 rebounds.

The conference also announced five Bees were named to the all-academic team. Blake Buls, Jason Capper, Eric Dust, John Kohnle and Nate Terveer were recognized for their work in the classroom.

SAU finished a disappointing 9-20 overall and 6-14 in the CCAC, with seven losses coming by six points or less.
