2016-17 all-CCAC Women's Basketball Team

Reeann McCarty led St. Ambrose in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, and was second on the team in assists, and in so doing, received all-conference honorable mention as the CCAC announced its postseason women's basketball awards today.

McCarty did a little bit of everything for the Bees. She averaged 13.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 steals and finished with 13 blocks. She is currently fifth in the country in free throw percentage at 89.5 percent after making 102-of-114 from the line this season.

The junior guard from Manchester, Iowa, scored in double figures 20 times, including each of the last seven games of the year. She averaged 15.7 points and 8.4 boards over that final stretch. Three of McCarty's six double-doubles came over the final four games of the campaign, including a 25-point, 13-rebound effort at Robert Morris on Feb. 11.

Her career high of 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting came against Governors State on Jan. 7, and was one of seven games of at least 20 points.

In her three seasons in an SAU uniform, McCarty has totaled 723 points, 525 rebounds, 133 assists and 113 steals.

McCarty was also one of nine Bees named to the CCAC all-academic team, joining Karli Atkinson, Hannah Bindner, Aubrie Carlisle, Hailey Cook, Brette Logic, Morgan Myers, Emily Soy and Morgan Wheelwright.

The Bees finished 10-19 overall and 5-15 in the CCAC this season.
