Competing at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Club in Indianapolis, Ind., the SAU men's golf team finished in 10th place among a loaded field at the Wildcat Cup hosted by Indiana Wesleyan Monday and Tuesday.

The tournament featured five teams ranked inside the NAIA's top 25 and two other teams receiving votes in the national poll.

St. Ambrose opened with a 312 before closing with a 309 to finish 10th with a 621. Taylor, the No. 15-ranked team in the country, passed No. 22 Grand View on the final day to win the team title with a 589 (303-286). 

Playing as an individual, Danny Ormiston was the top Bee finisher, placing 25th after a second-day 3-under 69 gave him a 154 total.

Adam Hutton was 31st with his 155 (78-77). Paul Burd (76-80) and Ben Thornton (78-78) were each a shot back after shooting 156s. Bobby Wolfe finished with a 161 (80-81) and Andrew Tichler shot a 162 (88-74).

Ben Kendrick, from the Cumberlands, was individual medalist with a 3-under 141 (69-72).

St. Ambrose will next compete in the two-day Augustana Spring Invitational beginning Friday at Fyre Lake Golf Club in Sherrard, Ill.
