CHICAGO --- Michael Ohioze (London, England) set a new St. Ambrose record en route to gaining Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Olivet Nazarene's Bryce Vollrath (Peoria, Ill.) registered an "A" standard qualifying mark in the shot put to land CCAC Field Athlete of the Week distinction, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Ohioze established a new Bee record in the 100 meter dash, bettering the previous mark by one-tenth of a second with his time of 10.64 seconds. That earned the senior automatic qualification in the NAIA Outdoor National Championships and placed him third in Saturday's meet at Benedictine University. He also earned an automatic bid in the 200 meter dash, which he won on Saturday with a time of 21.48 seconds.

Ohioze also competed as part of the Bees' 4x100-meter relay team, which placed third at the meet. Their time of 41.92 seconds was an NAIA "B" standard mark.
