It was quite a night for the St. Ambrose seniors.

Playing in their final game, the eight seniors led the Bees to a 21-3 win over Clarke at the St. Vincent Athletic Complex Tuesday night.

Quinn Coyle, who has been a part of the team since its inception in 2014, made a little history, scoring four goals to become the program's all-time leader with 71 career goals.

Coyle added six assists for a 10-point night in the game that saw SAU top 20 goals for the first time in program history.

He wasn't the only Bee to have a huge individual performance. Nicholas Cooper scored five goals and added a pair of assists and Matt Madril scored twice and was credited with four assists.

Tom Kelly, Liam Griffin and Jared Morgan also each had two goals.

Caleb Neff, Cooper and Griffin scored first-period goals before SAU took off in the second quarter. Coyle had a hat trick in the quarter, including a goal with 22 seconds left, to help the Bees build a 12-1 halftime lead.

Starting goalie Louis Mallillin even got in the act, scoring a third-period goal that extended the lead to 16-2. Playing a short-handed Clarke team, SAU pulled back in the fourth en route to the 21-3 win.

Thomas Parker had one goal and two assists and Austin Adams finished with a goal and an assist.

Mallillin came up with two saves while allowing just one goal in the first half before turning way to Jack Petrusha who made five second-half saves.

Coyle and Cooper were joined by Alex Burton, Robby Daniel, Jake Fetzner, Anthony Maciag, Nick Stuart and Dan Tieman as seniors playing for the final time for St. Ambrose.

SAU ended the year with a 3-11 record, including a 1-4 mark in the KCAC.
