The St. Ambrose men had a pair of top 10 finishes at the Drake Relays as they head into the championship portion of the season.

Seniors Michael Ohioze and Matt Ferris teamed up on the 4x200 and sprint medley relays both of which finished in the top 10. It marks only the second time in the last 50 years that the Bees had two relays finish in the top 10. In 2013 the same relays finished 8th and 4th respectively.

On a frigid cold and rainy day when the temperatures only got into the low 40's, Ohioze and Ferris teamed up with Jack Reemtsma and Major Watkins to finish 6th in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:29.21. In the sprint med, Reemtsma again paired with the seniors while Rane Nichols anchored the 800m leg to a 9th place time of 3:31.76.

"It was really rewarding to send the seniors out with those performances," SAU head coach Dan Tomlin said. "It's a shame we didn't have better weather because we could've really put up some good times, but those finishes are tremendous."

The Bees now head into the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference in hopes of winning their first crown since joining the league before the 2015-16 school year.
