2017 Winter/Spring Champions of Character

More than 500 St. Ambrose student-athletes and their families attended the annual Spring Sports Banquet Sunday afternoon at the Rogalski Center Ballroom.

Members of the athletic bands, baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, cheerleading, dance, men's and women's golf, lacrosse, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, and men's volleyball programs were recognized for their athletic and academic achievements this year.

Athletic Director Ray Shovlain also presented a Fighting Bee Award to Fr. Chuck Adam, who will leave SAU in July to become pastor of St. Thomas More Parish in Coralville, Iowa.

In addition, the Champions of Character for each winter and spring sport were announced. The awards are based on five core values - integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.
