Katie Reitz and Lauren Blake each scored a hat trick and St. Ambrose continued its CCAC dominance with a 9-0 shutout of Holy Cross Saturday.

The Bees are now 7-1-2 overall and 4-0 in the CCAC, and have outscored their four conference foes a combined 18-1.

After Elisa Senno gave SAU a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute, Reitz took over. Her first goal came in the 32nd minute, with Senno getting the assist.

Despite outshooting the Saints 18-0, the Bees held a slim 2-0 lead at halftime.

Reitz doubled the lead with a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Rachel Jennings was credited with an assist on the first goal of the half before Reitz's unassisted goal pushed the lead to 4-0.

Then it was Blake's turn. The freshman forward played a part in the final five Bee goals, scoring three and assisting on the other two, with all five coming over a 16-minute stretch.

Erin Smothers set up Blake's first goal that extended the lead to 5-0. Then the two reversed roles with Blake getting the assist on a Smothers' goal to increase the lead to 6-0.

Blake finished Samantha Morgan's corner kick in the 74th minute for her second goal of the afternoon. Blake then connected with Morgan Wahlen for a goal and an 8-0 lead in the 81st minute. Just 46 seconds later, Blake completed her hat trick and the scoring with an unassisted goal.

The offensive outburst made an easy winner of Nicole Staines, who saw just one shot in her 74 minutes in goal. She gave way to Gaby Navejas, who played the final 16 minutes.

SAU finished with 36 shots and allowed just one shot. The Bees have surrendered a total of two shots over their last three victories.

St. Ambrose will look to extend its four-match winning streak Wednesday when the Bees host Judson at 5 p.m. at the St. Vincent Athletic Complex.
