The roll continued for the Bees.

St. Ambrose extended its winning streak to six matches and its shutout streak to five with a 1-0 win at Cardinal Stritch Saturday night.

SAU is now 9-1-2 overall and at 6-0 in the CCAC, the last unbeaten in the conference.

It didn't come easy facing a team that like St. Ambrose, is receiving votes in the NAIA top-25 poll.

After a scoreless first half, which saw the Bees outshoot the Wolves 6-3, St. Ambrose got on the board in the opening minutes of the second half. Erin Smothers found Morgan Wahlen, who scored in the 53rd minute. The goal, Wahlen's seventh of the year, also proved to be her third game winner this season.

Nicole Staines got the shutout by making all three of her saves in the second half.

During the six-match winning streak, St. Ambrose has outscored the opposition a combined 25-1.

The Bees will take a break from conference play Wednesday by battling Bellevue in Des Moines, Iowa.
