Jon Mannall has led the St. Ambrose women's soccer team to seven regular season conference championships, four conference tournament titles and four NAIA National Tournament appearances since taking over the program in 2003.

In his time coaching the women's program, Mannall has accumulated a record of 166-99-21. St. Ambrose remains one of the top teams in the conference and prides itself on competing year in and year out against the best opponents in the region.

Mannall, a five-time conference coach of the year (2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015) first took the Bees to the NAIA National Championships in 2008 after winning both the Midwest Collegiate Conference regular season and tournament crowns.

The Bees returned to the National Tournament in both 2011 and 2013 after again winning MCC championships.

St. Ambrose joined the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2015 and immediately won the CCAC regular season title that fall. Mannall's 2015 team made more history by defeating Hastings (Neb.) 3-2 in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round to advance to the second round of the National Tournament for the first time in school history.

The Bees have won at least 10 matches in 10 of the last 11 years, including eight straight seasons starting in 2009.

The women’s soccer program has maintained an average GPA in excess of 3.0 and has consistently seen its players earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

"Our exceptional academics maintained in the program have been a crucial part of our success. Focused students in the classroom always make for more focused athletes on the field," Mannall said.

In March 2010, Mannall added men's coaching duties as he was named the head soccer coach at St. Ambrose.

Mannall hails from London, England and has been involved in soccer in the Quad City Area for several years. A 2001 graduate of Marycrest International University, Jon received conference honors in soccer while also playing basketball for the Marauding Eagles.

Mannall spent six years as the head girls' soccer coach at Davenport North High School, where he received Coach of the Year honors in his second year in charge. The transition from high school to University assistant came quickly when Mannall was hired as the assistant women's coach at St. Ambrose in 2002 after graduating from college in three years. He took over the head coaching spot a year later. "I never really went looking for coaching soccer at first; the coaching seemed to find me," Mannall said.

Mannall is also the lead coach for the EISA Black Select club team.

Mannall said, "I believe that I have learned a great deal from the other coaches that I have been fortunate to be coached by and within a variety of sports. I am lucky to have accumulated a great staff here and we are very involved with the players in practice which enables us as a staff to see firsthand where changes need to be made. We feel this approach gets a good response from players and helps to build a team bond between all players and coaching staff alike.

"My experience within and around the game has enabled me to identify the difference between the game overseas and here in the U.S. I strive to assist my players not only with the skills and tactics of the game but the passion and knowledge to be able to play the game at the next level.

"I believe that the University and the soccer program are capable of housing a team that can compete at the very highest level, developing a style of play and a winning attitude has been key to putting the program amongst the top of our conference and region."
