Who inspired you to begin playing this sport?
Many people throughout my life have inspired me to begin playing basketball. I grew up in a family where basketball was always part of everyday life. Both of my parents played in college, so the game was something I was exposed to early, and it quickly became a big part of my life. As I got older, my brothers played a big role as well. I looked up to them and wanted to follow in their footsteps, which pushed me to compete and improve. One of my biggest inspirations was my Grandma Jean. She loved the game and always joked that she taught me everything I know. She recently passed away, and continuing to play basketball is one way I carry her influence with me. Basketball has always been more than a sport in my family, and that connection is what inspired me to begin playing and still motivates me today.
