Sport: Women's Tennis

Year in School: Senior

Major: Sales and Marketing

Reason for Nomination: 

Julia Turek has been a strong senior leader for the Women's Tennis program, bringing resilience and competitiveness to every match while contributing a winning record in doubles play this season. She has played a key role in close team victories and consistently sets the tone with her work ethic and positive attitude. Julia is well respected by her teammates and is very deserving of this recognition.

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

Bus rides to away matches with my teammates.

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal? 

We always get Culver's.

Favorite pre-game/meet/match song?

Somebody to Love by Justin Bieber

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

My Mom 

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

I would love to be better at golf.

What is one fun fact about you? 

I am an only child.  

Name: Jacob Stoetzel

Sport: Men's Golf

Year in School: Junior

Major: Business Management

Reason for Nomination: 

One of my top golfers is scoring average for the 2025/26 season. Jacob won his first collegiate individual title in the fall at the Loras Invitational. Jacob is one of my team captains and is well respected by his fellow teammates for his leadership in our program. Jacob also serves on the student athlete advisory board chaired by our athletic director Mike Holmes. He is well deserving of this recognition.

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

My favorite moment this season was probably last week winning the Loras Invitational with my team.

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal? 

Chick-fil-a or Chipotle

Favorite pre-game/meet/match song?

With Arms Wide Open- Creed

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

My Dad

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

Wrestling

What is one fun fact about you? 

I know the first 40 digits of Pi

Name: Gabrielle Langlois

Sport: Women's Golf

Year in School: Senior

Major: Sport Management

Reason for Nomination: 

Gabrielle has been a consistent contributor for the women's golf program, lowering her season average from previous years and showing steady improvement throughout her career. She has posted several solid finishes this season, including a top-20 performance at the Highland Championship and continued competitive play across multiple tournaments. Gabrielle's dedication, growth, and commitment to the program make her very deserving of this recognition.

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

My favorite moment of the season was playing in the Holy Cross tournament. We had a great time bonding together and also enjoyed watching the Masters.

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal?

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

My Dad

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

Softball

What is one fun fact about you? 

When I was 10 years old, I raised $22,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to childhood cancer research, and then shaved my head to support the cause.
