Kris Kistler was named the Senior Woman Leader/Director of Compliance on July 27, 2022. In her role at St. Ambrose, Kistler is responsible for NAIA eligibility and oversees team compliance with NAIA regulations. As the SWL, she onboards new hires, assures gender equity, and promotes student-athlete well-being. She also coordinates game day activities. 

Kistler joined St. Ambrose after serving as the Senior Woman Administrator and Head Softball Coach at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. While coaching at Augustana, Kistler led the softball program to a 548-338-3 record, making her the winningest coach in program history. 

"I am extremely excited to start the next phase of my career at St. Ambrose University," said Kistler. "I have always had a great deal of respect for SAU, athletically and academically, and have only become more impressed through the interview process. I think this will be a great fit!"
