On April 5-7, five St. Ambrose University brass players went on a recruitment tour sponsored through the newly established SAU Fighting Bee Marching Band. Accompanying the quintet was Director of Athletic Bands, Ms. Megan Cooney, Fighting Bee Band Media/Marketing staff, Natalie Jones, and guest soloist and Professor of Trumpet Studies, Mr. Matthew Hartmann.

The touring group held performances and brass clinics in the following Chicagoland high schools: Lincoln Park HS, St. Rita HS, Fenwick HS, Nazareth Academy, Brother Rice HS, and Mother McAuley HS. The quintet also performed throughout the Quad-City area visiting Davenport North HS, Assumption HS, and Sherrard HS.
