Ponder named Heart Offensive Player of the Week
Alec Ponder was named the Heart of America Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 302 yards and five touchdowns in a 43-36 win over Graceland Saturday.
The redshirt-sophomore quarterback completed 21-of-35 passes and threw touchdowns to four different receivers. His final scoring strike was a nine-yarder to Tre Jenkins on a 4th-and-6 play that gave the Bees a 37-36 lead with only five seconds left in the game.
This was the second five-touchdown game of the year for Ponder.
