Bees Dominate Emmaus Bible College

The St. Ambrose Fighting Bees improved to 2-0 on Friday after rolling past Emmaus Bible College 95-39 at home. The Emmaus Eagles, who came into the game looking to bounce back from an 86-28 loss to Trinity Christian, are 0-2.

The Bees led by double digits less than five minutes into the game and the lead was 20 points at 32-12 not even halfway into the first half. SAU shot 58 percent from the floor in taking a 52-20 halftime lead.

St. Ambrose, ranked #25 in the NAIA preseason top-25 poll, coasted in the second half. All 15 Bees who played registered at least 10 minutes.

Mike Kennedy scored 19 points in only 11 minutes of playing time. Other high-scorers for the Fighting Bees included juniors Chris Donnelly, who finished with 17 points and Alex Messager (14 points). Emmaus's top scorers, Rex Nelson and Aaron Fullan, put up 10 points each.

St. Ambrose will go on the road Wednesday for the first time this season to meet the McKendree Bearcats (1-1) in Lebanon, Ill.
