Junior forward Mike Kennedy was named the Midwest Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week today. This marks the second time this season he has won the conference's weekly award.

Kennedy averaged 20 points and nine rebounds while shooting better than 53 percent from the floor in helping the Bees to a perfect 3-0 week.

He started the week by posting a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double in a 68-57 win over Grand View. He scored 10 of his points in the decisive second half.

Kennedy scored 21 points to go along with 11 boards in a 69-64 win over Clarke Saturday. He knocked down 9-of-18 shots and handed out four assists in the win.

Sunday, the 6-6 forward connected on 10-of-15 shots from the field on his way to a game-high 23 points in only 23 minutes in a 92-68 win over Roosevelt.

Through SAU's 13-3 start this season, Kennedy leads the Bees in scoring (21.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg).
