Junior forward Chris Donnelly was named to the 2010-11 Capital One Academic All-District Men's Basketball second team today.

The honor, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the floor and in the classroom. Nominees must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.

Donnelly, from Peoria, Ill., is majoring in Industrial Engineering at St. Ambrose. He is second on the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game and rebounding at 5.3 boards per contest.

Donnelly represents District 7 in the College Division, which includes NAIA, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III Canadian and two-year schools from Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
