Dacunda signs contract with Club La Union
Recent St. Ambrose graduate Ignacio "Nacho" Dacunda signed a contract to play professionally for Club La Union in the top-tier level of the Argentine Basketball League.
The 6-4 guard from Concordia, Argentina, earned second team all-CCAC honors after averaging 17.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game last season for the Bees. Dacunda shot nearly 57 percent from the floor.
He finished his four-year SAU career with 1,234 points, eclipsing the 1,000-point mark in a win over Judson on Jan. 17 of this year.
Dacunda will be joining a Club La Union team which finished 20-16 last season. The team, based in Formosa, Argentina, is coached by Guillermo Narvarte.
The league season starts in late September and runs through the playoffs in May.
