Theis named CCAC Golfer of the Week for second time
CHICAGO --- Three solid rounds during the seven-day period ending April 5 have earned St. Ambrose University's Carsen Theis (Grimes, Iowa) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week recognition for the second time this season, the league office announced on Thursday.
Theis shot a one-over-par 72 last Thursday to open the Western Illinois University Intercollegiate. He followed that up with back-to-back 75's to finish with a 222 total, or an average score of 74 over the three rounds.
With the effort, the junior placed 15th amongst a field of 49 golfers.
