Mallillin named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week
WICHITA, Kan. - Jeremiah Lerch of Columbia College and Louis Mallillin of St. Ambrose University have earned the KCAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from April 9-15 by a vote of conference sports information directors.
Mallillin made 31 saves over two games last week. The junior from Bolingbrook, Ill., came up with 12 saves in a loss to Missouri Valley before stopping 19 shots in an overtime win over Benedictine (Kan.).
This season, Mallillin has been credited with 129 saves over 12 games and has posted a .516 save percentage. He has helped the Bees to a 6-6 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the KCAC.
