SAU dominant in win over Quincy

St. Ambrose scored eight goals in the third period en route to a 16-6 win over Quincy University Wednesday night.

The Bees were only up two goals at halftime after Michael Shakerin found Chris Scislowski with 17 seconds left in the first half. SAU came out firing in the third with Cole Danner finding the back of the net off an assist from Jake Herman. Goals from Shakerin, Sam Kerr, and another from Shakerin followed. Cameron Daugherty then scored two straight goals on assists from Michael Keating and Shakerin. Kerr followed up with his second goal of the night with a goal from Keating 30 seconds later to close out the third.

Keating scored an unnassisted goal to start off the night for the Bees. Herman scored on an assist from Matt Romero to give SAU a 2-0 lead. After a Quincy goal, Shakerin and Romero scored to close out the first. Herman scored the lone goal for the Bees in the second. The night ended with Shakerin scoring his fourth with two minutes remaining, followed up by Daugherty's third only twenty-five second later.

Nolan Hayes was credited with eight saves and the win playing 45 minutes in goal.

The Bees will travel to Chicago, Ill. on Saturday to face No. 10 Siena Heights.
