Three Bees named to 2021 KCAC Preseason Team
Joseph Henderson, Hunter Northway, and Michael Shakerin were named to the 2021 KCAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Team. Henderson, a junior defenseman, started all six games for the Bees last season and was a 2019 KCAC second-team pick. Northway, from Ankeny, Iowa, has collected 232 ground balls during his time at St. Ambrose and is second on the career list for faceoffs won. Shakerin, a sophomore, had a stellar freshman season leading the team in goals scored and assists in 2020.
WICHITA, Kan. — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) is pleased to announce the 2021 KCAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Team, as voted on by men's lacrosse head coaches in the conference.
Six schools have representatives on the preseason team. Columbia College leads the way with four players recognized. Benedictine College and St. Ambrose University are tied for second with three players each. Missouri Valley College has the third most representatives, with two, and Missouri Baptist University and Ottawa University each have one player on the preseason team.
Several players on this year's preseason team have received KCAC honors in previous years. Tyler Parrott and Adam Debski (both of Columbia), Sean Molyneux and Tyler Santini (both of Benedictine), and Gavin Orman and Noah Reff (both of Missouri Valley) all were named to the 2020 KCAC Preseason Men's Lacrosse Team before the season was cut short due to COVID-19. Several players from the 2019 All-KCAC first team return, including first-team honoree Santini and second-team honorees Parrot, Debski, Orman, Joseph Henderson (St. Ambrose), and Jack Kandoth (Benedictine).
