St. Ambrose University Director of Athletics Mike Holmes announced Devin Caesar as the head coach of the St. Ambrose men's lacrosse program. Caesar takes over for Jon Paul, who left to become the head coach at Augustana College. He becomes the fifth head coach in program history after serving as a graduate assistant and recruiting coordinator at St. Ambrose.

Caesar was named the Heart of America Assistant Coach of the Year after his first year on the sidelines with SAU in 2023. He helped the Fighting Bees to a Heart of America Conference tournament championship and a third straight trip to the NAIA National Invitational.

Caesar, a native of Gurnee, Illinois, earned his first head coaching position after spending seven years as a member of the True Illinois Lacrosse program. Caesar also coached high school lacrosse in Illinois at Warren Township High School and Adlai E. Stevenson High School.

Caesar graduated from St. Ambrose with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, following a social work and sports management background. He was a two-year starter for the Fighting Bees and finished his SAU career with four points (one goal, three assists), 60 ground balls, and 27 caused turnovers.

Caesar played for True Lacrosse State until high school, then transferred to NXT Chicago and FCA for his high school travel career. He was a three-year varsity starter for Warren Township High School and received North Shore All-Conference Honors two years straight.
