Bees roll through three-game stretch with statement wins

St. Ambrose turned in a dominant three-game stretch, highlighted by a ranked road win and back-to-back shutout victories, outscoring opponents 62-8 across the final two contests.


at #9 Benedictine (April 11)

The Bees earned one of their biggest wins of the season, defeating No. 9 Benedictine 10-6 behind a fast start and strong defensive effort.

St. Ambrose jumped out to a 5-0 first-quarter lead, with Ayden Fraelle scoring twice and Cameron Washington adding two early goals to set the tone.

After Benedictine cut into the lead late in the second quarter, the Bees responded in the third with key goals from Ryan Swanson, Deegan Reece, and Fraelle to maintain control.

Fraelle led the offense with 3 goals, while Washington added 2 goals and played a key role in transition. Swanson chipped in 2 goals, and Reece added a goal and an assist.

Beyond the scoring, the Bees saw strong all-around efforts:

Defensively, Carter Gras anchored the win with 8 saves, while the Bees held the Ravens to just six goals on 32 shots.


at Missouri Valley (April 16)

St. Ambrose delivered a historic offensive performance, shutting out Missouri Valley 34-0 in a wire-to-wire victory.

The Bees dominated from the opening whistle, scoring 13 goals in the first quarter and never slowing down. The offense was nearly unstoppable, finishing with 34 goals on 72 shots while limiting Missouri Valley to just six total shots.

Zach Priami and Ryan Swanson led the way with 7 goals each, combining for 26 points. Priami added 7 assists, while Swanson contributed 5 assists, showcasing elite playmaking.

Cameron Washington added 6 goals and 7 assists, controlling the offense throughout, while Jagger Shaddix and Zak Brown each recorded 3 goals.

The Bees also saw contributions across the roster, with goals from Joey Curzon, Luke Staab, Aidan Fergus, Hunter Wahrenburg, and Mason Shackelford.

At the faceoff X, Shackelford dominated, going 28-of-31, helping St. Ambrose control possession all game long.

Defensively, the Bees were nearly flawless, allowing just six shots total while forcing 27 turnovers. Both Carter Gras and Sean Tadel split time in goal to secure the shutout.


at Midland (April 18)

The Bees closed out the stretch with another dominant win, defeating Midland 18-2.

St. Ambrose again set the tone early, scoring seven first-quarter goals and building a 13-1 halftime lead. Zach Priami led the early surge with multiple goals and assists, while Zak Brown, Cameron Washington, and Jagger Shaddix all contributed in the opening half.

Priami finished with a standout performance of 4 goals and 5 assists, while Brown and Shaddix each added 3 goals. Washington contributed 3 goals and 3 assists, continuing his strong stretch.

Additional scoring came from Ethan Nydegger (2 goals), Ryan Swanson (1 goal, 2 assists), and Deegan Reece (1 goal).

At the faceoff X, Mason Shackelford went 15-of-22, and the Bees were perfect on clears (18-for-18), showcasing efficiency in all phases.

Defensively, Carter Gras recorded six saves, helping limit Midland to just two goals on 17 shots.


St. Ambrose improves to 7-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play, fueled by elite individual performances, dominant possession, and a high-powered offense that continues to surge late in the season.

The Bees are next in action on Wednesday, April 22, as they host William Penn at 6:00 p.m. for the final game of the regular season.
