Rudd named CCAC Track Athlete of the Week
CHICAGO --- Hitting NAIA "A" standard marks over the weekend, St. Ambrose University's Nolan Rudd (Greendale, Wis.) and Olivet Nazarene University's Noah Sears (Elkhart, Ind.) have been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Rudd gained his distinction with his second-place effort in the 3,000-meter run at SAU's Fighting Bee Invite on Saturday. The senior finished in a time of 8:40.7, which established a new school record, breaking the old mark by nearly seven seconds. A total of 26 runners made up the field.
