St. Ambrose hosts the Bumble Rumble

This past weekend on Jan. 17, the Bees continued their indoor track & field season at St. Ambrose at the Bumble Rumble. With 39 PRs, the Bees continue to improve as each individual works their way to the conference meet only now one month away.

On the men's side, some outstanding performances included Dylan Grandon and Elijah House in the Men's 600m hitting A and B National Standard with times of 1:20.40 and 1:21.43 to place in the top two in the race. Five individuals PRd in the mile, including a first-place snatch the last 50 meters of the race from Chris Miserendino, giving him a six-second PR of 4:17.10. The others that PRd included Kevin Chaney (4:29.44), Benett Boatright (4:45.96), Jack Lied (4:52.32) and Anthony Conard (4:59.55).

Other personal records included Keagan Erickson and JaQuarion Lewis in the 60m dash (7.08 and 7.09) placing third and fourth, Saviour Vesey placing eighth in the men's 200m (23.54), and Kaizer Riley taking third in the 400m dash with a PR time of 50.34.

In the 3k, Ian Eller, Ross Willerth, Jack Degner and Mason Schaack all grabbed PRs (8:58, 9:08, 9:36 and 10:33). Leavell Windfield Jr. placed second in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.97m and Joe Reinhart placed third in shot put with a mark of 15.24m.

Moving on to the women's side, Sarah Jordan and Nazayda Bloch placed first and second with times of 7.87 and 7.88 in the 60m. Bloch proceeded to place second in the 200m dash with a time of 26.64. Jordan PRd in the 400m while placing fifth with a time of 1:00.41. Other individuals in the 400m included Lynzie Cady and Lucy Oehler, who received PRs placing sixth and seventh (1:02.15 and 1:03.95).

In the 800-meter dash, Kaylee Mowen and Danielle Moore broke their personal records placing first and third with times of 2:22 and 2:25. In the mile, Lexi Minard placed third, Carlie Woolm PRd (5:35), and Loryn Heil PRd as well (6:32). PRs were also across the board in the 3k with Kaitlyn Knoche (10:36) finishing second and Maurina Fahrenkrug (10:53) placing third. Adeline Smith and Lauren Johnson PRd as well in the 3k (11:03 and 11:27).

For the field events, Ryleigh Warden was second in the pole vault with a mark of 2.95m and Erin Miner placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 9.18m. Bree Neumiller in the shot put placed first with a mark of 13.14m, and Alexis Tomlin placed 14th in the weight throw with a mark of 10.05m. Tosin Oshin PRd in both the shot put and weight throw with marks of 10.18m and 9.91m.

The next meet is this following weekend on Jan 23-24 back in the WRC, while some other individuals will be competing at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational at the University of Iowa.
