Indoor season to come to a close at NAIA Championships
St. Ambrose will close out its indoor season at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships which begin Thursday at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Gainesville, Fla.
The three-day event begins with the prelims of the men's 4x800m relay and the men's 4x400m relay. Jackson Baedke, Zachary Brown, Javon Bruce, Alex Fuller, Dylan Grandon, Jatzyel Hernandez, Charles Huesmann or Kaizer Riley could run in the 4x400m relay while Bruce, Kevin Chaney, Grandon, Hernandez, Elijah House, Jack Lied, Chris Miserendino or Tyler Moody could compete in the 4x800m relay.
Friday will feature several Bees in individual events, starting with Kaitlyn Knoche and Maurina Fahrenkrug both racing in the prelims women's mile run. Then it will be the men's turn. Elijah House will race in the 600m run prelims, Dylan Grandon will compete in the 800m run prelims, and Chris Miserendino will take part in the prelims of the 1000m run. Joe Reinhart will also compete in the first of his two events when the men's weight throw gets underway.
Reinhart will throw the shot put Saturday. Also on the final day, Bree Neumiller will compete in the women's shot put and Leavell Windfield Jr. will compete in the men's triple jump. The finals of the track events will also occur Saturday.
