Bio
Alec Seifert serves as the head throws coach at St. Ambrose University, a role he stepped into in the fall of 2024 following an impressive collegiate career with the Fighting Bees.
As a student-athlete at St. Ambrose from 2019-24, Seifert was a four-time NAIA national qualifier in the shot put and a conference champion in the event. His competitive experience, leadership, and deep knowledge of the sport laid a strong foundation for his transition into coaching.
Since taking over the throws program, Seifert has coached four national qualifiers and five all-conference athletes. On the men’s side, he coached a conference champion in both the shot put and the javelin. On the women’s side, he guided a conference champion in the discus.
In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Seifert holds dual bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Art History, as well as a Master of Business Administration, all from St. Ambrose University. His diverse academic background reflects a strong commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
Coach Seifert is known for his technical expertise and his dedication to athlete development, helping student-athletes reach their full potential in competition and beyond. He is proud to continue representing the university and community he loves—and to still be a Fighting Bee.
