Bos and Zang repeat as first team all-CCAC selections

Michael Bos and Pedro Zang were named first team all-conference for the second straight year as the CCAC announced its postseason men's volleyball awards.

It was a complete repeat for St. Ambrose as Anthony Anderson, Kam Dixon and Ethan Karban were named to the all-CCAC second team for the second consecutive year as well.

Bos, a junior middle hitter from Chicago, Ill., led the Bees, and is currently third in the conference, with 326 kills. He hit at a CCAC-leading .453 clip with just 67 hitting errors in 572 chances. Bos put down double-digit kills in 17 matches and topped 20 kills twice. He also paced the team with 107 total blocks, including 24 solo efforts. His average of 0.93 kills per set is currently third in the league.

Zang, the 2025 CCAC Freshman of the Year, finished right behind Bos with 321 kills, the fourth-best mark in the CCAC. The sophomore opposite hitter from Sao Leopoldo, Brazil, hit .270. He also had 17 matches with at least 10 kills and posted a season-best 21 in a 3-1 win over Augustana on Feb. 17. Zang also collected 52 digs and was in on 71 total blocks this season.

For the third straight season, Anderson led the team in assists, handing out 713 in 2026. That mark is currently second in the conference. The senior setter from O'Fallon, Mo., finished his four-year SAU career with 2510 assists to become just the seventh Bee to top 2500. He also led the team with 30 aces this year, giving him 99 in his career, good for fourth all time at SAU. Anderson was also credited with 172 digs this season.

Dixon did a little bit of everything for St. Ambrose. He recorded 267 kills, 157 digs, 26 aces and 24 total blocks. The sophomore outside hitter from Valparaiso, Ind., posted 10-or-more kills in 14 matches and was credited with 15 digs vs. Olivet Nazarene on Apr. 7. Dixon was third behind just Bos (392.5) and Zang (366.5) with 306.5 points this season.

Karban leads the CCAC with 371 digs this season. That total is the fourth-highest single-season mark in program history. He picked up at least 10 digs in 19 matches with a season-best 20 coming in a 3-1 win over Viterbo on Feb. 20. The junior libero from Belleville, Ill., also leads the conference with 771 receptions. Karban added 105 assists and eight aces this season.

The five players helped St. Ambrose finish 20-12 this season. It was the first 20-win campaign for the team since the 2018 season. SAU saw its season end in the CCAC Tournament semifinals.
