NAIA Wrestling Conference Preseason Ratings

A school-record seven Bees are ranked in the Heart of America Conference preseason poll announced on Tuesday.

Diego Machado, a 2024 NAIA National qualifier at 165 pounds, is St. Ambrose's top-ranked wrestler. He was rated fourth at 157 pounds. Jayden Terronez, who qualified for nationals in both 2022 and 2023, is ranked fifth at 165 pounds.

Guiseppe Guerra (141 pounds) and Dylan Meiners (197 pounds) are ranked sixth at their respective weights. Steele Dias is seventh at 125 pounds. Tate O'Shea (149 pounds) and Anthony Sartori (174 pounds) are both ranked eighth.

As a team, St. Ambrose is slotted seventh in the preseason Heart ratings, just two points behind Baker. Grand View, which has won 12 NAIA National Championships in the last 16 years, sits atop the conference rankings.

SAU will host its annual Intrasquad Dual on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. before officially starting the season with a dual at William Penn on Oct. 31.
