St. Ambrose falls to Quincy in road dual

The St. Ambrose University wrestling team dropped a dual to Quincy University on Saturday, January 3, as the Hawks pulled away for a 41–9 victory in Quincy, Ill.

133 – Tyler Clarke (SAU) vs. Kaden Rios (Quincy)

Clarke turned in a gritty performance, earning a 15–5 major decision to secure four team points for the Bees. Clarke controlled the pace throughout the match, using multiple takedowns and strong rides to build separation on the scoreboard. He consistently worked from neutral and on top, wearing down Rios over three periods and sealing the major decision with continued pressure late in the bout.

141 – Guiseppe Guerra (SAU) vs. Dimitri Bao-Washington (Quincy)

Guerra delivered a statement win for St. Ambrose, recording a 19–3 technical fall in five minutes. Guerra scored early and often, piling up takedowns and turns while maintaining constant offensive pressure. His pace proved overwhelming, as he reached the tech fall threshold midway through the third period, accounting for five team points and highlighting the Bee's aggressiveness in the middle of the lineup.

AJ Trendle (125 pounds), Georgino Moraga (149 pounds), Josh Zeman (157 pounds), Brody Schmidt (174 pounds), Nicolas Makwala (184 pounds), Colin O'Grady (197 pounds), and Jeremiah Morris (285 pounds) wrestled for the Bees.
