Fighting Bees battle on Senior Day
The St. Ambrose University wrestling team dropped its senior day dual to William Woods University on Saturday, as the Owls pulled away for a 34–15 victory. Despite the final score, the Bees earned two wins, including multiple bonus-point performances, and showed continued firepower through the middle of the lineup.
Dual Highlights
141 – Guiseppe Guerra
Guerra continued his standout season with a dominant showing at 141 pounds, securing an 18-3 technical fall to put St. Ambrose on the board. His relentless pace and ability to score from multiple positions produced five team points.
149 – Georgino Moraga
Moraga followed with a strong performance at 149, battling through a competitive bout to earn a 9-1 decision victory and keep momentum with the Bees.
285 – Tyler Casey
Casey helped the Bees earn an additional 6 points with a forfeit from the Owls
AJ Trendle (125 pounds), Tyler Clarke (133 pounds), Josh Zeman (157 pounds), Jean-Luc Guerra (165 pounds), Brody Schmidt (174 pounds), Nicolas Makwala (184 pounds), and Jeremiah Morris (197 pounds) wrestled for the Bees.
Wrestling is back in action at Lee Lohman Arena on Thursday, February 12, as they take on #2 Grand View.
