Wolter named CCAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week
CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Abby Wolter (Keokuk, Iowa) put the double whammy on Viterbo University last Tuesday to gain both the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending Nov. 30, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.
In the Fighting Bees' lone game of the week, the senior forward led the team in scoring (22 points), rebounds (11), steals (6), assists (5) and blocked shots (2). She also shot 8-of-12 from the field (.667) and converted two of her three trey attempts.
St. Ambrose won the matchup 75-69 to even out its record both overall (4-4) and in the conference (2-2).
