Wolter named to CSC Academic All-America Team
CSC Academic All-America® Women's Basketball Team
After earning All-American recognition for her play on the court, Abby Wolter earned equal billing for her work in the classroom as she was named to the NAIA Women's Basketball Academic All-America® First Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Wolter is just the second SAU women's basketball player to be named to the CSC Academic All-America® Team, joining Katie Jensen, who earned first-team honors in 2015.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.50 cumulative grade point averages.
Wolter was named to the first team alongside Gracie Schoonhoven (Dordt), Macy Sievers (Dordt), Kelsie Siegner (Eastern Oregon), Tabor Teel (Dakota State) and Emily Till (Arizona Christian). Wolter was one of three on the first team to have a 4.00 cumulative GPA.
The All-America Team honor comes after Wolter has earned CSC Academic All-District recognition in each of the last three years. The senior Elementary Education major has also been named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and to the CCAC All-Academic Team three consecutive years.
On the court, Wolter was named an NAIA Third-Team All-American after collecting CCAC Player of the Year and CCAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades. The 5-11 forward from Keokuk, Iowa, led the CCAC, and finished 16th nationally, in scoring at 19.8 points per game. She was 25th in the NAIA in rebounding, averaging a conference-leading 10.1 boards per contest. She shot better than 49 percent from the field and also averaged 3.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game while helping the Bees advance to the CCAC Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2016. She also earned 2026 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NAIA Coaches' All-America honorable mention.
