Healy, Warner named second-team all-KCAC

Two St. Ambrose players earned second-team all-conference honors the Kansas Collegiate Athletic (KCAC) announced on Friday. Maura Healy and Audrey Warner nabbed the awards for the Fighting Bees.

Healy, a senior defender from Evergreen Park, Ill., started every game for St. Ambrose. She was second on the team in caused turnovers with 16 as of April 20th, which is a career-best. She caused a season-high three turnovers twice, in wins against Culver-Stockton and at Augustana. Healy collected 28 ground balls as of April 20th, with a season-high of four against Culver-Stockton on March 5th. Healy scored in wins over William Penn, Saint Mary, and Culver-Stockton and assisted on a goal against Saint Mary for four points in 2022 (as of April 20th).

Warner, a junior from Schaumburg, Ill., brought the offensive firepower for the Bees this season. She scored a team-high and career-best 41 goals (as of April 20th) and added eight assists, also a career-best in 2022. Warner was named the KCAC Player of the Week after scoring a season-high seven goals against DIII University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She scored six goals in a comeback win over William Penn and netted five goals in a win at Midland. Warner collected a career-best 29 ground balls and won 29 draws (as of April 20th) this season.
