CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Sarah Buffum (Byron Center, Mich.) and St. Ambrose University's Rachel Jennings (Davenport, Iowa) each helped their team claim a pair of league wins during the week of Sept. 23-29 on their way to earning Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, which were announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

One of four teams undefeated in league play is St. Ambrose thanks to the efforts of Jennings. The senior defender anchored a defense that held Saint Xavier to just three shots total, including none after the break, in a 3-1 victory last Tuesday.

Jennings also helped the Fighting Bees post a shutout of Cardinal Stritch on Saturday. Coming in to the 1-0 win for St. Ambrose, the Wolves were averaging 4.25 goals per contest. It marked the Bees' first shutout of the season.

Overall, St. Ambrose is 4-3-1.
