"I was very proud of the heart and determination the group showed today. This was a physical and mental challenge against a talented and experienced team. We clearly made some significant strides in areas that we have needed to improve from previous performances," said head coach Jon Mannall. "Overall, our ability to compete throughout the 90 minutes was fantastic. We defended as a group when we needed to and created some wonderful opportunities.  The first goal was always going to be pivotal in the game, but the team never lost belief. I am confident that the experience and lessons learned today will benefit us later in the season."

Next up, the Bees will travel to Winona Lake, Indiana, on Saturday, September 6, as they take on Grace College at 4:00 p.m.
