Men and women get dual wins in Dubuque

The inaugural St. Ambrose swimming and diving season continued with a pair of duals in Dubuque, Iowa, Saturday.

The SAU men won both, defeating Loras 124-76 and Midland 134-62. The women defeated Midland 111-18 but fell to host Loras 122-79.

Nathan Kuszynski continued his strong start to the season by winning three events - the 200 freestyle (1:48.58), the 400 individual medley (4:24.40) and the 100 backstroke (57.71). He has now won eight individual events over the team's first three duals.

Josh Fleming took the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 55.52 seconds and Justin Fales won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:04.25.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Jonathan Whittle, Fleming, Jason Schuler and Fales touched the wall first in a time of 3:23.81

Alexis Hagen won the women's 50 free in 26.67 seconds. Also for the Bee women, Laura Williams won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:27.05.

Andrea Adam won her third 1-meter diving event in as many chances, winning with a score of 167.00.

St. Ambrose will next compete in a dual at Simpson on Nov. 11.
