Four Bees named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

Andrea Adam, Bethany Anderson, Kaitlyn Keith and Kevin Krupitzer were named to 2020 Academic All-District At-Large Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Adam, Anderson and Krupitzer are members of the SAU swimming & diving program, while Keith competes for the women's bowling team.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.
The at-large team includes student-athletes from the following sports: women's beach volleyball, women's bowling, women's crew/rowing, men's and women's fencing, women's field hockey, men's and women's golf, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rifle, men's and women's skiing, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball, men's and women's water polo, and men's wrestling.
The four Bees represent District 3, which includes NAIA colleges from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. They now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Team ballot, where first- and second-team All-America honorees will be selected.
This is the second straight year Adam has earned Academic All-District honors. The Iowa City, Iowa, native is the three-time reigning NAIA National Women's Diver of the Year. Adam, a junior, is a six-time NAIA National Champion, winning the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in 2018, 2019 and 2020, while also earning All-America honors as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that took eighth at nationals last year. She is majoring in Exercise Science at St. Ambrose.
Anderson, a sophomore from Hayesville, N.C., qualified for the 2020 NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships in seven events. She holds four individual school records - 50-yard backstroke (28.85 seconds), 100-yard backstroke (1:00.70), 100-yard butterfly (58.82 seconds) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:11.87). She is majoring in Business Sales and Marketing at St. Ambrose.
Keith, a senior from Bloomingdale, Ill., was named a second team All-American by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA). She competed in all 10 regular-season tournaments this year, bowling every individual game, and posted a 201.76 average. She finished third individually at both the Tier 1 Mid-States Tournament and the Tier 1 National Match games. Keith helped St. Ambrose end the year ranked third in all of college bowling. She is majoring in Psychology and Nursing.
Krupitzer, a senior from Gilbert, Ariz., earned All-American honors in four events at this year's NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships. He finished seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke and eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke, and was a member of the fifth-place 400-yard medley relay and seventh-place 200-yard medley relay teams. Krupitzer holds school records in both the 100-yard breaststroke (55.86 seconds) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:03.26). He is majoring in Management at St. Ambrose.
