Nineteen Bees named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Team
The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named 1,479 swimmers and divers to its Scholar All-American Team for the 2019-20 season. St. Ambrose had 19 of its swimmers and divers honored.
The award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship. Selections were drawn from 209 colleges and universities.
St. Ambrose led all NAIA men's programs with 10 swimmers on the list. Nine Bee women were named to the team.
The 10 men recognized were Keagan Dolphin, Leo Edwards, Justin Fales, Caleb Gaylor, Rais Hassim, Ryan Joehl, Petter Kolaas, Reece Powell, Zac Robinson, and Ryan Warrick. The nine women were Andrea Adam, Bethany Anderson, Kelly Baughman, Valentina Espinosa, Emily Hartman, Taylor Madison, Caitlin Pieroni, Catie Schimmelpfenning, and Francesca Walker-Rozo.
In late June, the Fighting Bees were one of 13 men's programs and one of 19 women's programs to be recognized by the CSCAA as Scholar All-America Teams. Both St. Ambrose programs also earned Scholar All-America Team honors in the fall.
