CSC Academic All-America Women's Track & Field Team
Senior Gabbi Butler earned recognition for her efforts in the classroom and on the track when she was named to the NAIA Women's Track & Field Academic All-America Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Butler was one of just 10 student-athletes named to the first team.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.50 cumulative grade point averages.
Butler, from Belleville, Wis., finished her senior season earning all-American honors in the women's 400-meter dash. Her time of 54.04 seconds was good for fourth place at the NAIA Outdoor Championships. It was the second-straight all-American finish for Butler in the event after she placed fifth at the 2023 championships. She added a 17th-place showing in the 200-mter dash.
Off the track, Butler maintained a 3.93 GPA while majoring in Social Work and Psychology at St. Ambrose.
