Bees race at UW-Platteville as final meet before Conference

With now only one week to go and the Bees being more prepared than ever before, they took on their final meet before the big CCAC Indoor Championship. 

Starting off with 60-meter hurdles, Brady Belz placed first in the finals with a time of 8.38. Claire O'Melia placed second in the 60m dash finals with a time of 7.80 after also placing second in the prelims. And in the men's 60m dash, Jacob Freyermuth and Kam Bohnsack tied for fifth with times of 7.11 seconds. 

In the mile, Rylie Dunne ran a PR of 6:44, Ross Willerth placed third overall (4:32), Ian Eller ran a 4:38, and Jack Degner ran a PR of 4:40. Lynzie Cady placed fifth in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.23, Lucy Oehler in the ran a 1:04.6 and Maryn Gardner ran a time of 1:10. On the men's side for the 400m, Javon Bruce placed 4th (51.14), Zachary Brown placed 11th (52.91), and others that ran it included CJ Pizzeck (53.45), Alex Fuller (53.72) and Braxton Story (56.80).

In the 800m, Kaylee Mowen placed second with a 2:22, Danielle Moore ran a 2:26, and Carlie Woolm ran a PR of 2:32. Others that ran the event included Loryn Heil (2:55) and Eileen Elenteny (3:04). On the men's side, Tyler Moody ran a 2:01.14, Jack Lied ran a 2:06, Kevin Chaney ran a 2:07, Gavin Stalzer ran a 2:09, Anthony Conard ran a 2:11, and Benett Boatright ran a 2:12.

In the 3k, Kaitlyn Knoche placed second and ran a time of 10:51, with not far behind her Maurina Fahrenkrug taking third (11:02). Adeline Smith followed right behind placing fourth with a time of 11:10.

In the field events, Josiah Carter placed second in the high jump with a mark of 1.80m, Leavell Windfield Jr. placed third in both the long jump and the triple jump with marks of 6.25m and 13.29m. Jor'ae Beaver placed third in the long jump with a mark of 4.44m and Erin Miner was sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 9.39m.

Continuing with throws, Joe Reinhart in shot put threw a mark of 16.05m getting the National B standard while Taylor Snook and Alex Potts both PRd in the shot put as well (13.45m and 12.10m). Reinhart also placed second in the weight throw, hitting the National B standard once again. Bree Neumiller placed second in the shot put with a mark of 13.06m and Tosin Oshin PRd in the event with a mark of 11.48m.

With this being the last meet before the CCAC Championships, the Bees are ready more than ever to place and score some big points at conference! The final indoor meet will be the CCAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 20-21) at Olivet Nazarene in Bourbonnais, Ill. Good luck Bees!
