SAU leads CCAC with 22 on All-Academic Team

CCAC Baseball All-Academic Team

St. Ambrose led the conference with 22 selections on the CCAC Baseball All-Academic Team, which was announced Thursday by the league office.

Representing St. Ambrose are Jalen Avery, Grant Baker, Jacob Bosse, Jack Day, Alex HeckrothAndruw Jones, Hayden Kingsbury, Noah McCreary, Chris McFarland, Cade MeekDanny Molony, Tyreece Morgan, Jake Mucha, Mason Nauman, Brad NiedzwiedzMike Pawyza, Jacob Sciame, Carson Spelman, Joey Turek, Bryce VincentBrock Webber and Adrian Zietara.

Molony was one of just five players in the conference to maintain a 4.0 grade point average. Morgan was named to the All-Academic Team for a fourth time. Meek and Sciame were honored for the third time. Kingsbury, McFarland, Molony, Turek and Vincent were each named for a second time.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
